BS to DNP

The BS to DNP program provides students in the LLU School of Nursing, who have previously earned a bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing, to prepare for an advanced level of nursing practice and clinical research. New to the Loma Linda University School of Nursing, the BS to DNP programs are designed to accommodate full-time working professionals.

The BS to DNP curriculum prepares an RN to become an independent advanced practice (APRN) primary care provider, and improve patient and population health outcomes. Upon completion, nursing students will be able to exercise advanced levels of clinical judgment, systems thinking, and expanded responsibility, as well as become accountable for planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based strategies.

Please note: Students applying for the BS to DNP program will not have the option to opt-out at a MS level.

The specialties offered with the BS to DNP program include:

CNS – 3 years, full-time
NP – 3 years, full-time
CRNA – 3 years, full-time (Starting Summer 2018)
