Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Concentration

The Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) concentration at the LLU School of Nursing will prepare you to exercise independent judgment in assessment, supervision, and management of the primary health care needs of adults. (The AGNP program emphasizes preventative care for patients 18 years of age and older.)

As an AGNP you will work with elderly patients to diagnose illnesses, conduct exams, and prescribe medication as necessary. Working in collaboration with primary care physicians, you will receive training that is applicable in the community and ambulatory setting.
