The School of Nursing accepts Nursing Administration students in the Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters. All admission requirements must be completed by the deadline. Deadlines are as follows:
- Fall – April 15 (quarter begins in September)
- Winter – October 1 (quarter begins in January)
- Spring – January 29 (quarter begins in March)

There are two fees associated with the application:
- $70 for the initial NursingCAS application and a $50 secondary application fee.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing from a regionally accredited program
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.0, both cumulative and in nursing courses
- Current United States RN license before application*
- One year of RN experience is required prior to entering clinical courses
- Nursing experience is preferred in the area of desired clinical concentration
- Each applicant’s clinical experience will be individually evaluated
- Application with personal statement
- Three electronic recommendations (recommenders will receive an email once application is submitted) – required: Nurse Supervisor, RN Co-worker, Spiritual
- Official transcripts for all college credits
- Interview by faculty members in the School of Nursing
*California RN license required before start of classes
International Students
International applicants (non-U.S. citizens and non U.S. permanent residents) must meet all admission requirements for the chosen program. In addition, official international transcripts must be evaluated by an accredited evaluation service. All international applicants will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

NursingCAS Applicants - Transcripts must be sent by the issuing institution(s) directly to NursingCAS. You must submit official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions that you have attended. This includes all colleges, universities, military credit, and unaccredited schools. Transcripts provided in any other manner are considered unofficial and will not be accepted for admission.

The Master of Science in Nursing Administration program at Loma Linda University School of Nursing offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to prepare nurses for leadership roles in diverse healthcare settings.
The program integrates advanced nursing practices with management principles, emphasizing critical areas such as health-care systems leadership, policy development, and financial management.
Courses like Health-Care Systems Leadership (NGRD 652) and Health Systems Policy Development and Advocacy (NGRD 653) focus on equipping students with the skills to navigate complex organizational structures and influence health policy effectively. Financial acumen is developed through Health Systems Finance (NGRD 655), providing insights into budgeting and economic decision-making within healthcare organizations.
The curriculum also includes Organizational Behavior in Health Care (HADM 528) and Health-Care Law (HADM 534), which delve into the dynamics of human behavior in organizations and the legal aspects governing healthcare. Practical experience is gained through the Nursing Administration Practicum (NGNL 604), offering 240 hours of hands-on leadership training. The program culminates with the Master's Comprehensive Project (NGRD 610), allowing students to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges in nursing administration.
