Loma Linda University School of Nursing is very proud to share the recent honor of clinical instructor Michelle Miller, Clinical Nurse C-Inpatient, who was awarded the Inland Empire Healthcare Education Consortium Mentor Award. Nominations for this honor are submitted to showcase individuals who are demonstrating academic excellence, a willingness to mentor students and the highest level of quality in nursing education.
In a nomination letter from one of her students it said, "In a field as challenging as nursing, it is mentors like Michelle Miller who make all the difference. Her dedication to patient safety, her insistence on doing things the right way, and her constant encouragement to strive for excellence made her stand out as a truly remarkable educator." In addition to instructing LLUSN students in the clinical setting, Michelle is a surgical trauma nurse at Loma Linda University Health. Miller is the first LLUSN clinical instructor to ever receive this prestigious honor and is a shining example of the tradition of excellence in nursing our school strives for.

It's clear she's passionate about guiding future nurses and helping them navigate the transition from theoretical knowledge to real-world application at the bedside.
